At JT's Events, we are driven by a heartfelt mission to support those in need, particularly JT, our shining inspiration. We’re a dedicated team of JT's family and friends, united in our commitment to advocate for him. JT's strength motivates us all to create positive change for some truly amazing children, and now it's time to focus on making a significant impact in JT's own life.

JT’s dad, John "FORDY" Ford, was not just his best friend but also his greatest champion. Sadly, John passed away in May 2024, leaving a profound void in our hearts. He was the visionary behind JT's Tee Off golf tournament, known for his organization skills, competitive spirit, and joyful nature that touched the lives of many.

Each year, we come together for the JT's Tee Off Tournament, celebrating with family and friends and fostering the community spirit that JT embodies. 

Our community is all about love, support, and togetherness. Your generosity in previous years has made a real difference by enhancing local programs for individuals with special needs and spreading holiday cheer to children in foster care.

As we embark on this next chapter for JT, our goal is to ensure that his daily care needs are met so he can remain in the comfort of his home with his family.

We are committed to providing opportunities for people to help others. 

From the beginning, JT was special.  He was truly a blessing and still is to all of us.  JT reminds us every day of what really matters. 

Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of 2 ½, JT defied the odds and walked at 4.  Now in his early 30’s, JT still remains non-verbal and intellectually challenged.  He continues to battle Pancreatitis and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. These conditions have led to more than 70 hospital stays in the past few years alone. His most recent challenge/obstacle has been living with seizures.  On October 15, 2011, JT suffered his first seizure, a grand mal.  Later that same day he suffered another grand mal.  JT spent weeks in the hospital and endured months and months of medication trials.   But seizures haven’t stopped him from living the good life at home.  And at home is where he wants to stay.  

All net proceeds from JT’s tournament will be to benefit JT’s supplemental needs trust and will NOT be tax deductible. 

The special needs trust was established to supplement whatever benefits and services J.T. may need now and in the future. While recognizing that governmental and charitable programs contain many gaps, this trust will help J.T. to live as independently as possible at home with Debby and JoAnna and meet his future needs for residential, personal, and other nonmedical services.
